As of 10.01.2021, we exported 110.651 tons of hazelnut, in 2019/2018 season same time export was 176.762 tons, in 2018/2017 season same time export was 126.243 tons, as it can be seen in the graphic.
17th of August 2020, prices natural hazelnut 11-13mm started at the level of 6.630 USD/tons (5.600 Euro/tons), Today 11-13mm Natural hazelnut kernels prices DDU Europa delivery 6.830 USD/Tons (5.600 Euro/tons) levels. Turkey’s hazelnut exports volume decreased by 37.40% compared to 2019/20 last season and by 12.35% to the 2018/19 season.
Our expectation is that there will be 250.000 – 260.000 tons of export at the end of the season. Since TMO is open purchasing until the end of April, we estimate that the USD price level will be between 6.600/ ton and 6.900/ton at least until the end of April. Our expectation for TL/USD parity is in the range of 7,30 -7,80.
The 2021 crop development based on the flower as much as 50% in some varieties has been bloomed. It is highly undesirable that the weather conditions are far above the seasonal averages, but it is pleasing that it return to seasonal normals from tomorrow. In the absence of any negativity, our expectation is that a yield of more than 850,000 tons will come.
