As of 16.11.2025, we exported 39.008 tons of hazelnuts. In the 2024/2025 season, the same time export was 83.628 tons, in the 2023/2024 season same time export was 70.455.- tons, as can be seen in the graphic.
On 15.08.2025, crop 2025 prices for 11-13mm natural hazelnut kernels started at the level of 12.700 USD/tons (10.310 Euro/tons). Today, 11-13mm natural hazelnut kernel prices for DDU Europe delivery are 15.090 USD/Tons (13.100 Euro/tons) levels.
Crop expectations of around 400,000tons of hazelnuts led to a rapid price increase starting on August 15, 2025, from around USD 12,000 (EURO 10,300) for 11-13 mm natural hazelnut kernels to USD 18,100 (EURO 15,300) on September 18, 2025. Prices subsequently rose to around 730 TL/kg due to large buyers’ purchases from other origins and high Turkish Lira interest costs, before decreasing to around 590 TL/kg. In accordance with an agreement with the Competition Authority, the large buyer purchased approximately 35,000 tons of in-shell hazelnuts last week.
Expectations:
• Producer price expectations remain high. The expectation is 400 TL/kg for in-shell hazelnuts. • The sale of 35,000 tons of in-shell hazelnuts to a large buyer has partially relieved market pressure. Prices are expected to rise in the coming days.
• Producer supply has decreased significantly recently.
• Demand from international buyers has begun to increase, leading to a partial price increase.
• Buyers believe that prices are still too high. In our opinion, it will be extremely difficult for the price to decrease below these levels.
• Initial observations regarding the crop 2026 indicate that yield expectations are negative due to warm weather that is out of season.
